Max Scherzer ($11,500 on FanDuel): Somehow, Scherzer's early 2019 numbers are better than his ridiculous peripherals from last season as he's dominated to the tune of a 2.64 SIERA, 35.9% strikeout rate, 5.1% walk rate and 16.8% swinging-strike rate thus far. He hasn't posted a single-game swinging-strike rate under 14.6% in any of his three starts, and he's up against a Pittsburgh Pirates team that ranks 20th in wOBA (.303). Scherzer is a -190 moneyline favorite, and even on a stout pitching slate, he's the clear pick of the litter, with our models forecasting him for a slate-high 41.2 FanDuel points.
