And don't forget to take a listen to The Solo Shot podcast with Jim Sannes, who breaks down the MLB daily fantasy slate each day.

On that note, let's highlight some of the top options for today's FanDuel main slate.

Pitchers to Target

High-Priced Pitchers

Justin Verlander ($12,000 on FanDuel): Justin Verlander hits the $12,000 mark for the second straight start, and while the exorbitant price tag really puts a squeeze on your hitting funds, few hurlers have performed as consistently as Verlander this season. He's notched a quality start in 8 of 10 outings and has also tallied at least seven strikeouts eight times, all of which has helped him exceed 50 FanDuel points on six occasions. Although his 3.26 SIERA, 31.1% strikeout rate, and 6.5% walk rate are all slight steps back from 2018, they're still elite numbers that almost none of the other options on the slate can match. The opponent also checks out -- among active rosters, the White Sox have the third-highest strikeout rate versus righties (24.9%) and have a meager 3.10 implied total.
