Pitchers to Target
High-Priced Pitchers
Gerrit Cole ($11,700 on FanDuel): Wednesday's most expensive hurler not only leads the league in strikeout rate (38.3%) and SIERA (2.54), but he faces the same team that Justin Verlander annihilated last night (67 FanDuel points). Verlander's 12 strikeouts didn't exactly come out of nowhere against the White Sox, whose active roster carries the fourth-highest strikeout rate versus righties (25.5%), and Cole could very well dominate in similar fashion tonight. After all, with that mighty strikeout rate, he's tallied eight or more punchouts in eight of his 10 starts and reached double-digits five times. Chicago has a middling implied total (3.10), and Cole will also have a fantastic shot at a win, with Houston's offense expected to pummel Ivan Nova.
