A full 15-game slate awaits us on Tuesday, and with it comes a fairly robust array of high-priced hurlers to choose between, though one pitcher in the mid range looks particularly intriguing tonight. The bats have been plentiful over these summer months, and this evening is no different, with the Los Angeles Angels and Atlanta Braves among the teams standing out.

Clayton Kershaw ($12,200 on FanDuel): Clayton Kershaw may be getting up there in price these days, but he's really been on a roll lately -- since the start of July, he's produced a 3.26 SIERA, 33.5% strikeout rate, and 7.4% walk rate. Maybe that SIERA and walk rate aren't quite peak Kershaw numbers, but that strikeout rate is actually is well over his career average (27.5%) and would his highest over a full season since his career-high in 2015 (33.8%). Of course, we're still only talking about a sample of seven starts, but those punchouts are backed by a 14.4% swinging-strike rate, and the recent form gives us extra confidence in paying up for an appealing matchup against the Blue Jays. Toronto's active roster ranks 28th in wRC+ (89) versus southpaws and strikes out at a 23.8% clip in the split.
