Each day here on numberFire, we'll go through four offenses ripe for the stacking. They could have a great matchup, be in a great park, or just have a lot of quality sticks in the lineup, but these are the offenses primed for big days that you may want a piece of.
Premium members can use our stacking feature to customize their stacks within their optimal lineups for the day, choosing the team you want to stack and how many players you want to include. You can also check out our hitting heat map, which provides an illustration of which offenses have the best combination of matchup and potency.
Now, let's get to the stacks. As usual, we will not include today's game at Coors Field in these recommendations. You already know that you want bats at Coors when you can afford them, and you don't need us to tell you. Here are the other teams you should be targeting in daily fantasy baseball today.
Boston Red Sox
We won't get into any specific numbers with Logan Webb as his sample size in Single-A, Double-A, Triple-A, and the Majors are all very limited, he is the San Francisco Giants top pitching prospect. Again, in the small sample sizes across four leagues, Webb has been fantastic and shot up the rankings real quick. He does have a tough matchup tonight against a Boston Red Sox team that has smashed righties this season.
Two left-handed hitters to focus on first are Rafael Devers ($3,600) and Mitch Moreland ($2,700). Devers leads the way with an incredible .406 wOBA and .274 ISO — both of which lead the Red Sox against righties. Moreland cannot keep up with him as he has a .361 wOBA but his .272 ISO against righties is just behind Devers.
We then come to two righty-righty matchups with Xander Bogaerts ($3,800) and Mookie Betts ($4,600). Their numbers are very similar as Bogaerts has a .399 wOBA and .249 ISO against right-handed pitching, while Betts has a .393 wOBA and .253 ISO in the same split. Betts has been dealing with a foot injury, so make sure you check the lineups page to ensure he is playing.
Other players to consider in this stack are, J.D. Martinez ($4,300), Andrew Benintendi ($3,000) and Jackie Bradley ($2,600) — all of which have had varying success against righties.
