Fantasy Baseball Waiver Wire Adds: Week 26
While Rougned Odor has not enjoyed a top-notch year, he has been solid as of late and makes for an interesting add this week. Who else can help you as the season winds down?

If you're still reading this column, that's a good thing -- it's likely that you are still in the hunt in your playoff races, and that means your season has gone pretty well.

That doesn't mean that your team is perfect, though. One of the keys to any fantasy success is not only nailing your draft, but scouring that waiver wire for players who can give your team a boost. Even though fantasy baseball can be a really long season, it's key to search those waivers and take it week-by-week to cement your fantasy status.

The four players below are all owned in fewer than 50% of Yahoo leagues and could give your team a lift.

Jason Heyward - Chicago Cubs (OF)

Yahoo Ownership: 38%

While the Chicago Cubs are trying to grab a playoff spot, one thing has been obvious -- Jason Heyward has been a mainstay in the lineup, and he has been pretty darn good.

Over the last two weeks, Hayward has been doing his usual thing from an on-base percentage (OBP) perspective, posting a mark of .440. But he's also been a major contributor in every other category besides steals, recording three homers, 12 runs and 12 RBI.

While Chicago tries to find a way into the postseason dance, J-Hey can help your team in its postseason battle.

Rougned Odor - Texas Rangers (2B)

Yahoo Ownership: 50%

From a season-long perspective, Rougned Odor had put together a pretty horrendous 2019.

If there is a silver lining, though, it's that Odor has been outstanding lately. Over the past two weeks, Odor has ripped five home runs, swiped two bags and plated 10 runs.

The Texas Rangers get to close with six home games, so with Odor getting to hit in such a hitting-friendly environment, he could be a sneaky-good addition.

Dinelson Lamet - San Diego Padres (SP)

Yahoo Ownership: 26%

The San Diego Padres have long been eliminated from the playoff race, but that doesn't mean they can't impact our playoff races. An arm like Dinelson Lamet could be a major weapon for fantasy owners in Week 26.

With a two-start week coming up, albeit against the solid lineups of the Los Angeles Dodgers and Arizona Diamondbacks, Lamet will provide a pile of counting stats that are crucial in any league.

Regardless of his two-start status, Lamet has been pretty darn good this year over 68 innings pitched, recording a whopping 32.8% strikeout rate and 14.2% swinging-strikeout rate.

If you need help in the rotation, peep Lamet.

Zach Eflin - Philadelphia Phillies (SP)

Yahoo Ownership: 29%

While the Philadelphia Phillies are doomed to miss the postseason despite some hefty offseason investments, righty Zach Eflin has closed the campaign on a very strong note and makes for an intriguing pitching option.

Over his last five starts, he's posted a 1.57 ERA, 1.01 WHIP, and outstanding 19.8% fly-ball rate. While Eflin doesn't provide a ton of strikeouts, he has been exceptional in nearly every other category.

Like Lamet, Eflin also makes two turns next week, making him a valuable add.
