FanDuel's single-game slates are a great way to make any MLB matchup more exciting, and FanDuel is offering single-game contests for tonight's NLCS matchup between the St. Louis Cardinals and Washington Nationals.
Single-game contests are a different beast. You have $35,000 to fill out a five-man lineup. There are no positional requirements, but there are three utility spots, one All-Star slot, and an MVP position. The player you put in the MVP spot has his points multiplied by two while the All-Star position gets his points multiplied by 1.5. The three utility places are scored like normal.
The starting pitchers tonight -- Stephen Strasburg and Jack Flaherty -- will look to limit production, and the over/under is set at 7.0 runs.
Who should you roster in DFS? Let's take a look.
Anthony Rendon, Nationals ($9,500)
Anthony Rendon is the most expensive hitter in this game, but it's for good reason. He has a 46.4% hard-hit rate against righties in 2019 and gets plenty of lift, with a 47.2% fly-ball rate. Flaherty keeps the ball down (37.0% fly-ball rate allowed), but Rendon is 21% likely to hit a dinger tonight, highest of the slate.
