There's only four weeks left in traditional rotisserie fantasy baseball leagues -- can you believe it? It feels like it just started, and we are 60% complete. Wow.
Each week we will take a look at players who are rostered in fewer than 50% of Yahoo leagues and can help out your season-long squads. Remember, if you aren’t scouring the waiver wire, you are falling behind your league-mates.
Tony Gonsolin - Los Angeles Dodgers (SP)
Roster percentage: 45%
With Walker Buehler unexpectedly hitting the Injured List with a blister, Tony Gonsolin will enter the starting rotation for a Sunday start. Could he stick around for longer?
Well, he's allowed no earned runs this year. That's certainly not something we can expect to continue, but with a rotation that includes a struggling Ross Stripling, a permanent starting place on this juggernaut squad -- one with a loaded offense -- is something that we cannot rule out.
Gonsolin has flashed swing-and-miss stuff in his brief career, recording a 22.9% strikeout rate and 11.8% swinging-strike rate across 54 2/3 innings.
If Stripling struggles again on Saturday, Gonsolin may be more of a factor than just a fill-in for Buehler.
Sixto Sanchez - Miami Marlins (SP)
Roster percentage: 42%
Do not walk, but run to your waiver wire, and if Sixto Sanchez of the Miami Marlins is available, he's worthy of an immediate add.
The centerpiece in the trade that brought J.T. Realmuto to the Philadelphia Phillies, Sanchez is an electric right-handed starting pitcher, and he ripped off this performance last time out:
Sixto Sanchez (#1 #Marlins prospect) made his MLB-debut last night. His first career K seen here.@ProspectJesus’s take:
Coming out pumping 99-100, flashed his legendary stuff that’s made him a fixture. High octane FB w/run, plus CHG, & hard breaking SL. #JuntosMiami #PLive pic.twitter.com/TkaLvGZshG

The strikeout machine should stay in the rotation, per manager Don Mattingly, so add him if you are looking for a rotation boost.
Jon Berti - Miami Marlins (2B/3B/SS/OF)
Roster percentage: 37%
The multi-position Jon Berti is taking this thing to a new level. He's eligible at four different spots on Yahoo, which, in this fantasy landscape, is worth its weight in gold.
And if you are looking for a punch of speed, Berti has eight steals already and swiped three of them on Tuesday. He's also no slouch at the dish with a .275 batting average and 15 runs scored so far.
If you're playing in rotisserie formats where you need some wheels, peep Berti, and his position eligibility makes him even more appealing in this crazy season.
Jonathan Schoop - Detroit (2B)
Roster percentage: 30%
Jonathan Schoop of the Detroit Tigers is certainly worth a roster add. There is some mega pop in his bat.
While he has not stolen a base yet this year (nor has he even bothered to attempt a steal), he has chipped in 17 runs and 17 RBI along with seven long balls on the season. Over the last two weeks, he's been red-hot at the dish with a 1.086 OPS.
Consider Schoop if your offense needs help.
Two-Start Pitchers to Consider This Week:
Ian Anderson - at BOS, vs WAS
Asher Wojciechowski - vs NYM, vs NYY (monitor this Yankee offense, which is currently decimated by injuries)
Jon Lester - at PIT, at STL (two of the league's bottom-10 offenses)
Marco Gonzales - at LAA, vs TEX (Angels are extremely strikeout-happy versus southpaws - 26.7%)
Dakota Hudson - at CIN, vs CHC
Kwang-Hyun Kim - at CIN, vs CHC
Games in Coors Field This Week: San Diego Padres (1), San Francisco Giants (2)
If you are looking ahead a week or two (highly recommend doing so), the Los Angeles Angels, Oakland Athletics and Los Angeles Dodgers will be in Denver for a 10-game stand that starts on September 11.
