Just like in other sports, the focal point of your daily fantasy baseball lineups will be your high-salary studs. These guys take up by far the biggest chunk of your cap space, but they also offer the highest ceiling. And in the case of pitchers, the high-salary options typically come with the highest floors, too.

For hitters, we're looking for guys with big numbers, strong matchups, and with players around them that are likely to produce, as well, increasing our chances for runs and RBI. For pitchers, we want big strikeout numbers, while the ability to go deep in a game and pick up a win is also valuable.

With your high-salary picks playing such a big role in your lineup, you need to be right on these guys, so let's take a look at a few top-end options you can count on to anchor your lineup today.

Sandy Alcantara, SP, Miami Marlins ($11,000)

There's certainly a plethora of unique options on tonight's main slate. We could get sucked into the trap of playing Julio Urias ($9,600) in Coors Field, rostering a guy like Alek Manoah ($10,800) against the red hot Boston Red Sox, or his counterpart, Nick Pivetta ($10,100) versus the Toronto Blue Jays.

For me, gimme all of that Sandy Alcantara smoke against the St. Louis Cardinals at pitcher-friendly Busch Stadium.

While the Birds clock in ninth-best in team wOBA (.320), they've really made their living against left-handed pitching. Against righties, their numbers are a bit more mediocre (.316 wOBA and .149 ISO).

That's good enough for me to consider uber-ace Alcantara, who's sporting a 1.95 ERA, 3.03 FIP, and 55.0% ground-ball rate this season over 106 1/3 innings pitched. Batters have really struggled against the former Cardinals' farmhand, logging a 29.1% hard-hit rate this season versus Alcantara.

We peg Alcantara for 35.3 FanDuel points, and given the season he's having, there's plenty of room for upside.

Freddie Freeman, 1B, Los Angeles Dodgers ($4,500)

Catching himself in quite a few headlines is not exactly what Freddie Freeman imagined in his first season as a member of the Los Angeles Dodgers.

Freeman has been outstanding yet again in 2022. Over 330 plate appearances, he has logged a 146 wRC+. He's rocked only eight homers on the year, but he has bopped his way to a 10.8% barrel rate (well within career norms) and a .486 slugging percentage.

The Dodgers sport far and away the highest implied team total (6.56 runs) for their clash against German Marquez, which, of course, will surely lead to the Dodgers being a very popular play. With Freeman smack dab in the center of LA's lineup, he's one we certainly need to consider.

Dansby Swanson, SS, Atlanta Braves ($3,700)

If you want some differentiation outside of Coors Field, the scorching-hot Dansby Swanson comes to mind as a great play.

Thrust into the leadoff role with Ronald Acuna banged up, the table-setting Swanson owns some season-long numbers that'll make you swoon -- 13 homers, 11 steals, and nearly 50 apiece in runs and RBIs. And over the last month, the numbers are even more absurd -- .400 OBP, seven long balls, and three steals.

While ground-ball specialist Ranger Suarez isn't an easy matchup, Suarez has been a bit easier to attack for right-handed batters. He's allowed 1.15 HR/9 to righties along with an 11.0% walk rate and .447 slugging percentage.

The Braves (4.73 runs) sport the top non-Coors implied total, and plugging in the man at the top of their lineup makes a lot of sense.
