4 Daily Fantasy Baseball Stacks for 5/3/16
The Toronto Blue Jays crush lefties, and they get a juicy matchup at the Rogers Centre today.

Stacking can be a controversial topic in many daily fantasy sports, but you can count baseball as a glaring exception. Here, it's universal.

Using multiple players on the same team on a given day presents you with the opportunity to double dip. If one of your players hits an RBI double, there's a good chance he drove in another one of your guys. When you get the points for both the run and the RBI, you'll be climbing the leaderboards fast.

Each day here on numberFire, we'll go through four offenses ripe for the stacking. They could have a great matchup, be in a great park, or just have a lot of quality sticks in the lineup, but these are the offenses primed for big days that you may want a piece of.

Premium members can use our new stacking feature to customize their stacks within their optimal lineups for the day, choosing the team you want to stack and how many players you want to include. You can also check out our hitting heat map, which provides an illustration of which offenses have the best combination of matchup and potency.

Now, let's get to the stacks. Here are the teams you should be targeting in daily fantasy baseball today.

Toronto Blue Jays

Hey, so, uh, how did the Toronto Blue Jays fare last night?

Welp. Not great, Bob! They just so happen to be in a great spot again today, so let's stifle those tears, swallow our sadness, and give it another crack.

Texas Rangers starter Martin Perez is already five starts into his season, but he still has more walks than strikeouts to his credit. He does keep the ball out of the air with a 52.8% ground-ball rate, but the sheer volume of base runners for the Blue Jays should allow them to post respectable run totals. Then they've still got the big bats to take advantage.

Edwin Encarnacion's price has been shooting down this season, and he'll now only run you $3,400 on FanDuel and $3,800 on DraftKings, but he can still put a drive into the ball. His hard-hit rate is 35.1%, just slightly lower than his mark of 35.9% when he hit 39 dingers last year. That came with a 37.7% hard-hit rate against lefties and a 50.6% fly-ball rate, though he did strikeout more often with a southpaw on the bump. Encarnacion's price isn't going to be this low for long, so I'd hop on the train before the rebound hits.
