Stacking can be a controversial topic in many daily fantasy sports, but you can count baseball as a glaring exception. Here, it's universal.
Using multiple players on the same team on a given day presents you with the opportunity to double dip. If one of your players hits an RBI double, there's a good chance he drove in another one of your guys. When you get the points for both the run and the RBI, you'll be climbing the leaderboards fast.
Each day here on numberFire, we'll go through four offenses ripe for the stacking. They could have a great matchup, be in a great park, or just have a lot of quality sticks in the lineup, but these are the offenses primed for big days that you may want a piece of.
Premium members can use our new stacking feature to customize their stacks within their optimal lineups for the day, choosing the team you want to stack and how many players you want to include. You can also check out our hitting heat map, which provides an illustration of which offenses have the best combination of matchup and potency.
Now, let's get to the stacks. As always, we will not be including the game at Coors Field here. The run potential is always stupidly delicious there, but you likely don't need me to tell you that. Get exposure whenever you can afford it. Here are the other teams you should be targeting in daily fantasy baseball today.
Miami Marlins
Even without Dee Gordon, the Miami Marlins' offense is cooking right now. They're up to 12th in wRC+ against righties, and their strikeout rate is only 18.4%. A matchup with the Milwaukee Brewers' Wily Peralta should only add to that present destruction.
Peralta's strikeout rate is below 13.0% for the second consecutive season, and an increased walk rate has pushed his SIERA up above 5.00. These aren't the numbers of a dude who is long for the rotation, and a matchup with these sticks likely won't reverse that course.
Losing Gordon's speed is certainly tough for the Marlins, but it has also opened the door for Derek Dietrich to keep doing what he did last year, and that's crushing baseballs.
Derek is batting .375 with 2 triples and a home run over his last five games. We've won 7 of our last 8!https://t.co/OGudbAsYhc

Dietrich holds a 42.5% hard-hit rate against righties this year, following up 2015's mark of 37.4%. He has been hitting near or at the top of the order recently, and if he's there again, he's a perfect target with his low price and premium position.
