Stacking can be a controversial topic in many daily fantasy sports, but you can count baseball as a glaring exception. Here, it's universal.
Using multiple players on the same team on a given day presents you with the opportunity to double dip. If one of your players hits an RBI double, there's a good chance he drove in another one of your guys. When you get the points for both the run and the RBI, you'll be climbing the leaderboards fast.
Each day here on numberFire, we'll go through four offenses ripe for the stacking. They could have a great matchup, be in a great park, or just have a lot of quality sticks in the lineup, but these are the offenses primed for big days that you may want a piece of.
Premium members can use our new stacking feature to customize their stacks within their optimal lineups for the day, choosing the team you want to stack and how many players you want to include. You can also check out our hitting heat map, which provides an illustration of which offenses have the best combination of matchup and potency.
Now, let's get to the stacks. With the split slates, we'll be focusing exclusively on the main slate beginning at 7 pm Eastern. Here are the teams you should be targeting in daily fantasy baseball today.
New York Yankees
When Yovani Gallardo hit the disabled list, it's safe to assume the Baltimore Orioles were hoping the downtime could fix their $22 million investment. That hope done been flushed already.
Yovani Gallardo has now allowed 11 baserunners and gotten eight outs. We're still in the third inning. Rays up 3-1.

Yovani Gallardo on pace for a 231-pitch complete game. He's thrown 77 through 3 innings. #Orioles

Gallardo has made six starts since returning, and he has issued 20 walks while striking out 23 batters. His SIERA is 5.72 with a measly 6.3% swinging-strike rate. With a start at Yankee Stadium next on the docket, Gallardo will need to turn things around in a hurry.
For some reason, Brian McCann's price has dipped all the way down to $2,900 on FanDuel and is a reasonable $4,200 on DraftKings. His 35.4% hard-hit rate is his highest since 2010, and it jumps up to 40.2% with a 50.6% fly-ball rate since the start of June. He should be the center point of any New York Yankees stack, but he also needs to be on your radar as a stand-alone player if you decide to look elsewhere.
