Stacking can be a controversial topic in many daily fantasy sports, but you can count baseball as a glaring exception. Here, it's universal.
Using multiple players on the same team on a given day presents you with the opportunity to double dip. If one of your players hits an RBI double, there's a good chance he drove in another one of your guys. When you get the points for both the run and the RBI, you'll be climbing the leaderboards fast.
Each day here on numberFire, we'll go through four offenses ripe for the stacking. They could have a great matchup, be in a great park, or just have a lot of quality sticks in the lineup, but these are the offenses primed for big days that you may want a piece of.
Premium members can use our new stacking feature to customize their stacks within their optimal lineups for the day, choosing the team you want to stack and how many players you want to include. You can also check out our hitting heat map, which provides an illustration of which offenses have the best combination of matchup and potency.
Now, let's get to the stacks. As always, we will not include today's game at Coors Field here. Coors is obviously dope for DFS, but you likely don't need me to tell you that. Here are the other teams you should be targeting in daily fantasy baseball today.
Los Angeles Dodgers
The Los Angeles Dodgers' offense has been trending up for a while now, but their pricing is still reasonable, and they've got a great matchup on tap for tonight. You won't find me complaining.
We've seen good moments from Zach Eflin so far, specifically his six-strikeout complete game toward the end of July. However, as a whole, he hasn't quite ironed things fully out, which is what you'd expect for a 22-year-old pitcher. With a SIERA of 5.20 to go with his 12.2% strikeout rate and 5.9% walk rate, we can very much still stack opposing offenses against him. The Dodgers' offense just gives us a bit more confidence in doing so.
The other beneficial aspect of Eflin for the Dodgers is his struggles against left-handed batters. While facing them, his strikeout rate dips to 7.6%. This should put Corey Seager, Josh Reddick, and Adrian Gonzalez on your radar, but it'll also give a bunch of upside to this pup.
5-for-5, 3 HR, 6 RBIs.

Yasmani Grandal's hard-hit rate against righties this year is 37.7%, and it's at 42.6% overall since the start of July. He's stroking it right now, and he's a key part of any Dodgers stack tonight.
