Los Angeles Angels pitcher Noah Syndergaard (illness) has been scratched from Friday's game against the Chicago White Sox.
Syndergaard is dealing with an illness and will not make his scheduled start on Friday. He is expected to pitch later in the series. Jimmy Herget will take the mound against the White Sox in a bullpen game for Los Angeles.
In 8.3 innings pitched so far this season, Herget has a 6.48 ERA.
