Arizona Diamondbacks outfielder Alek Thomas is not in the starting lineup for Monday's series opener against right-hander Zack Greinke and the Kansas City Royals.
The Diamondbacks are giving Thomas a breather after his six-game hitting streak ended on Sunday. Jake McCarthy is moving to center field in place of Thomas. Pavin Smith is shifting out to right and hitting second. Christian Walker is on first and Daulton Varsho is at designated hitter. Grayson Greiner is replacing Thomas in the lineup to play catcher and hit ninth.
numberFire’s models project Greiner for 8.7 FanDuel points on Monday, and he has a $2,000 salary. Per our MLB Heat Map, the Diamondbacks-Royals game features the strongest park factor for hitters in the majors on Monday.
