The Los Angeles Dodgers did not list Austin Barnes in their lineup for Sunday's game against the Cleveland Guardians.
Barnes will sit out Sunday's game with Will Smith moving back to catcher. Eddy Alvarez will enter the lineup in right field and bat eighth, while Chris Taylor switches to left field, Gavin Lux moves to second base, Max Muncy takes over third, and Justin Turner starts at designated hitter.
Barnes has already almost met last season's total of 5 home runs with 4 so far in just 81 plate appearances behind Will Smith, but has also seen his batting average drop from .215 last season to .191 this year. He has 14 runs and 10 RBI.
