The Miami Marlins did not list Erik Gonzalez in their starting lineup for Monday's game against the St. Louis Cardinals.
Gonzalez was called up ahead of Sunday's game and started at third base. While he did notch a double in one of his three plate appearances, he'll take a seat this evening while Brian Anderson takes over at third base and bats seventh.
The Marlins have given Gonzalez 38 plate appearances so far this season, with which he has accrued 4 runs, 3 RBI, 1 stolen base, and a .206 batting average.
