Miami Marlins first baseman Garrett Cooper (knee) is in the starting lineup for Friday's series opener against right-hander Kyle Gibson and the Philadelphia Phillies.
Cooper was held out of the past two lineups with a bruised knee, but he will start on first base and bat second Friday. Jesus Aguilar will be the designated hitter while Avisail Garcia starts in right field and Bryan De La Cruz covers center. Billy Hamilton is out of the lineup.
numberFire’s models project Cooper for 11.6 FanDuel points on Friday, and he has a $3,000 salary. Per our MLB Heat Map, the Marlins’ implied total (3.61) is No. 19 in the majors on Friday.
