The Detroit Tigers have traded relief pitcher Michael Fulmer to the Minnesota Twins.
The Twins are going for it as they hold onto a first-place spot in the American League Central, and they're bolstering their bullpen with this move. Once a starting pitcher who won Rooke of the Year, Fulmer has turned into an effective weapon out of the bullpen. Heading back to Detroit in the deal is pitcher Sawyer Gipson-Long.
In 39.1 innings pitched this season, Fulmer has a 3-4 record with a 3.20 ERA, a 1.25 WHIP, 39 strikeouts, 20 walks and 2 saves.
