The Los Angeles Dodgers have scratched Tony Gonsolin (forearm) from their lineup for Monday's game against the Miami Marlins and have placed him on the 15-day Injured List.
Gonsolin was initially slated to start tonight's game against the Marlins, but is dealing with a forearm injury and will spend some time on the IL to recover. Fortunately, the injury isn't believed to be too significant at the moment. The team has called up Michael Grove (who is expected to start in Gonsolin's place) to the active roster for tonight's contest in a corresponding move.
Gonsolin has been outstanding in his breakout campaign, posting a 16-1 record so far with a 116/35 K/BB ratio, a 2.10 ERA, and a 0.86 WHIP. The Dodgers will need him healthy for the playoffs.
