Oakland Athletics infielder Vimael Machin is not starting in Tuesday's game against Los Angeles Angels.
Machin will head to the bench after Jonah Bride was named Tuesday's starting third baseman.
Per Baseball Savant on 173 batted balls this season, Machin has recorded a 4% barrel rate and a .313 expected weighted on-base average.
