The Chicago Cubs did not list P.J. Higgins as a starter for Monday's game against the Cincinnati Reds.
Higgins will sit out Monday's game while Alfonso Rivas starts at first base and bats seventh against the Reds.
Higgins has made 224 plate appearances in his second year, batting .227 with 6 homers, 20 runs, 27 RBI, and a .682 OPS.
