Arizona Diamondbacks outfielder David Peralta (wrist) expects to begin playing in extended spring training games next Wednesday.
Peralta plans to play a few games and then rejoin the Diamondbacks, so it looks like he should return next weekend if all goes well. The outfielder has been on the shelf for the last three weeks with inflammation in his right wrist, but he's been swinging a bat for a few days with no issues.
Peralta has a .330 wOBA while hitting .260/.321/.439 with three home runs, 12 RBI's and two stolen bases in 134 plate appearances on the year. We project him to post a .338 wOBA with seven more jacks and five more steals this season.
