Toronto Blue Jays pitcher Alek Manoah has been named the Opening Day starter against the St. Louis Cardinals.
The Blue Jays are rolling with Manoah over Kevin Gausman. The 25-year-old right-hander finished third in AL Cy Young voting last season after recording a 2.24 ERA and 0.99 WHIP with a 22.9% strikeout rate.
numberFire's models project Manoah to score 29.9 FanDuel points on Opening Day. He's expected to record a 3.06 ERA and 1.06 WHIP over the course of the season, with 193 strikeouts and 54 walks.
