Cleveland Indians pitcher Carlos Carrasco will be activated from the disabled list to start Thursday against the Kansas City Royals.
Carrasco, out since late-April with a hamstring strain, tossed four innings of one-run ball with six strikeouts in his lone minor league rehab start with Double-A Akron on Saturday. He'll be limited to around 80 pitches in his return to action.
Carrasco threw 22 innings this season before getting injured, posting a 2.45 ERA and a 23.5 strikeout percentage. Our models currently project him to record a 3.95 ERA and a 21.6 strikeout percentage over the remaining course of the season (75 innings).
