Seattle Mariners outfielder A.J. Pollock is not in the starting lineup versus right-hander Aaron Civale and the Cleveland Guardians in Friday afternoon's series opener.
Pollock will sit after starting the last four games for the Mariners. Cooper Hummel will replace Pollock in the starting lineup to be the Mariners' designated hitter and No. 8 batter.
