Washington Nationals infielder Ildemaro Vargas (shoulder) has been placed on the ten-day injured list.
Vargas has been placed on the ten-day injured list with a left shoulder strain, retroactive to April 10th. In a corresponding moving, Jeter Downs was recalled from AAA.
Vargas is batting 0.083 this season with 2 runs and 1 hit in 13 plate appearances.
