Los Angeles Dodgers infielder Miguel Rojas (hamstring) is not in the starting lineup against right-hander Max Scherzer and the New York Mets in Wednesday afternoon's series finale.
Rojas injured his hamstring in the fifth inning on Tuesday. Luke Williams will cover shortstop and hit eighth on Wednesday afternoon. Mookie Betts is still out on paternity leave and Chris Taylor remains sidelined with a sore side.
Over three starts, Scherzer has registered a 5.09 SIERA, 21.5% strikeout rate, and 10.8% walk rate, and he's giving up hard contact at a career-high 43.2% clip. However, his 13.1% swinging-strike rate suggests Scherzer's punchout rate is due to improve. Per numberFire's MLB Heat Map, the Dodgers' implied total is 4.09 and the game total is 8.5 on Wednesday.
