Miami Marlins pitcher Sandy Alcantara (biceps) is expected to start on Wednesday versus the Atlanta Hawks.
Alcantara threw a 25-pitch bullpen session on Monday and is on track for Wednesday's start. He was scratched from a scheduled start on Saturday versus the Cleveland Guardians with right biceps tendinitis. The 27-year-old reigning National League Cy Young Award winner is off to a rough start this season, with a 1-2 record and a 5.47 ERA.
Alcantara is averaging 24.0 FanDuel points through four starts and 24 2/3 innings. His strikeout rate has fallen from 23.4% last year to 19.8% this season, but his 4.33 SIERA suggests Alcantara should improve moving forward. numberFire's models project him for 32.5 FanDuel points on Wednesday.
