Texas Rangers outfielder Robbie Grossman is not in the starting lineup versus rookie right-hander Brandon Pfaadt and the Arizona Diamondbacks on Wednesday afternoon.
The Rangers appear to be giving Grossman a routine day off. He extended his hitting streak to 12 games on Tuesday and is slashing .357/.429/.548 in that stretch. Jonah Heim will take over at designated hitter while Sandy Leon starts at catcher and bats ninth. Travis Jankowski will handle left field. Brad Miller is out of the lineup for a sixth straight game.
numberFire’s models project Heim ($3,600) for 9.6 FanDuel points on Wednesday. Per our MLB Heat Map, the Rangers' implied total is 4.41 and the game total is 8.5. Pfaadt will be making his MLB debut versus the Rangers and the 24-year-old is considered one of the top pitching prospects in all of baseball. He recorded a 3.91 ERA and 1.18 WHIP with 30 strikeouts and 6 walks through 25 1/3 innings (five starts) this season before being called up.
