Los Angeles Angels outfielder Mike Trout is not in the lineup against right-hander Jack Flaherty and the St. Louis Cardinals in Thursday afternoon's series finale.
The Angels are giving Trout a maintenance day after 11 straight starts. Brett Phillips will replace Trout in center field and hit ninth. Jake Lamb will start on first base over Gio Urshela and bat fifth. Luis Rengifo will replace Brandon Drury on the keystone and hit eighth. Matt Thaiss will return to replace Chad Wallach behind the plate and bat seventh.
numberFire’s models project Phillips ($2,100) for 7.9 FanDuel points on Thursday. Rengifo ($2,500) is projected for 8.0 FanDuel points. Per our MLB Heat Map, the Angels' implied total is 4.20 and the game total is 9.0. Flaherty has the highest walk rate this season (15.3%) among Thursday's projected starters.
