The Atlanta Braves announced that they optioned Vaughn Grissom to Triple-A Gwinnett after Saturday night's game.
The Braves had to make room for Orlando Arcia (wrist) in the lineup after he was reinstated from the injured list, and opted to send Grissom back down to Triple-A to do so.
Grissom didn't quite meet expectations in his call-up, but the 22-year-old is still an intriguing prospect. He hit .277 with a .622 OPS in his 70 plate appearances.
