The Minnesota Twins did not list Joey Gallo (leg) as a starter for Friday's game against the Los Angeles Angels.
Gallo took a foul ball off his leg on Thursday but according to x-rays performed after the game he was able to avoid suffering any fractures. Still, he'll sit out Friday's game while he recovers. Kyle Garlick will play right field and bat fifth against the Angels.
Gallo is having a good season with the Twins, batting .216 with a .900 OPS. Through 118 plate appearances he has 10 home runs, 18 runs, and 22 RBI.
