New York Mets catcher Omar Narvaez (calf) is in the lineup for Tuesday's series opener against right-hander Bryce Elder and the Atlanta Braves.
Narvaez was activated from the 60-day injured list on Tuesday after being unavailable for two months due to a calf strain. He will catch for Carlos Carrasco and bat ninth in the opener with Atlanta. Francisco Alvarez will be available off the bench Tuesday, but he's expected to remain the starter moving forward. The Mets designated Tomas Nido for assignment on Monday in a corresponding roster move.
numberFire’s models project Narvaez ($2,600) for 7.0 FanDuel points on Tuesday. Per our MLB Heat Map, the Mets' implied total is 4.68 and the game total is a batter-friendly 10.5. Elder has a 4.16 xERA with a 47.3% hard-hit rate this season, so his 1.92 ERA is a bit misleading.
