San Diego Padres infielder Ha-Seong Kim is not in the lineup on Thursday afternoon against right-hander Chris Bassitt and the Toronto Blue Jays.
Kim will take a breather after he went 2-for-4 with a run scored and a stolen base in Wednesday's shutout win over the Blue Jays. Jake Cronenworth will move to second base and bat fifth while Alfonso Rivas will start on first and hit ninth. Fernando Tatis Jr. will cover the leadoff role for Kim. Juan Soto will hit second and Manny Machado will bat third, with Xander Bogaerts on cleanup duty.
numberFire’s models project Cronenworth ($2,700) for 8.3 and Rivas ($2,000) for 6.7 FanDuel points on Thursday. Per our MLB Heat Map, the Padres' implied total is 4.59 and the game total is 9.0. Bassitt has a 4.12 ERA and 4.53 xERA this season, with a 38.4% hard-hit rate, 21.9% strikeout rate, and 7.4% walk rate.
