New York Yankees outfielder Franchy Cordero has been optioned to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre.
Cordero is headed down as a result of Jake Bauers' return.
In 71 plate appearances this season, Cordero has a .188 batting average with a .690 OPS, 6 home runs, 9 runs and 13 RBI.
