The Kansas City Royals did not list Nick Pratto in their lineup for Monday's game against the Cleveland Guardians.
Pratto will take a seat Monday while the Royals put Matt Duffy at first base and have him bat fifth.
Pratto has shown signs of improvement in his second season, batting .241 with 7 homers, 31 runs, 31 RBI, 1 stolen base, and a .713 OPS through 291 plate appearances.
