The Texas Rangers have reportedly acquired pitcher Max Scherzer on Saturday.
After pitching 42 games for New York, Scherzer will head to Texas in exchange for prospect Luisangel Acuna after he agreed to waive his no-trade clause to play for a contending team.
Expect the veteran to immediately hold down the front of the Rangers' rotation after he accounted for a 4.09 expected Fielding Independent Pitching rating and a 27.3% K-rate in 107.2 innings this season.
