The Los Angeles Angels have scratched Griffin Canning (general soreness) from their lineup for Monday's game against the Atlanta Braves.
Canning was slated to be on the mound Monday as the Angels kick off their series with the Braves, but is dealing with "general soreness" and will now cede the spot to Chase Silseth. Canning told reporters he's hoping not to miss more than a few days.
Silseth has a $5,500 salary on FanDuel for tonight's slate and is fresh off of his best start of the season, in which he tossed 10 strikeouts over 5.7 innings to a 1.59 ERA. He's throwing for a 4.44 ERA on the season.
