The Kansas City Royals did not list Bobby Witt Jr. in their lineup for Sunday's game against the Philadelphia Phillies.
Witt Jr. will take a seat Sunday while the Royals install Michael Massey at second base and have him bat fourth against Philadelphia.
Despite a slower start to the season than some were expecting, Witt Jr. is already up to 20 homers and 30 stolen bases in fewer plate appearances than the previous season. He has 20 home runs, 59 runs, 67 RBI, 32 stolen bases, and a .268 batting average through 479 plate appearances thus far.
