Atlanta Braves outfielder Michael Harris II will bat second in Monday's series opener against right-hander Clarke Schmidt and the New York Yankees due to a hamstring strain.
Harris has mostly hit ninth this season and never higher than fifth, but is moving up Monday as Ozzie Albies (hamstring) is out for the first time this season. Harris is slashing .365/.415/.531 with 11 extra-base hits across 107 plate appearances since the break.
Per numberFire's MLB Heat Map, the Braves' implied total is 5.22 and the game total is 9.0 on Monday. Schmidt has mostly been mediocre this season, with a 4.08 xERA, 22.2% strikeout rate, and 6.3% walk rate.
