Texas Rangers outfielder Leody Taveras is not in the lineup on Tuesday against right-hander Lucas Giolito and the Los Angeles Angels.
Taveras went 2-for-4 with a double and an RBI in Monday's series opener, but he's batting just .190/.216/.305 with a 26.8% strikeout rate since the All-Star break. This is the first time Taveras hasn't been in the lineup since July 5. J.P. Martinez will move to center field in place of Taveras on Tuesday and bat seventh. Travis Jankowski will start in left field and hit ninth.
