New York Yankees outfielder Everson Pereira will start in left field and hit seventh in his MLB debut on Tuesday against right-hander Josiah Gray and the Washington Nationals.
The Yankees selected Pereira's contract from Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre on Tuesday. He will replace Billy McKinney (back, IL) in the outfield for his debut and is expected to hold a regular role in left field down the stretch.
