Kansas City Royals catcher Freddy Fermin is not starting in Tuesday's game against the Oakland Athletics.
Fermin will watch from the bench after Salvador Perez was moved to catcher and Matt Duffy was positioned at first base.
Per Baseball Savant on 146 batted balls this season, Fermin has recorded a 10.3% barrel rate and a .283 expected average.
