St. Louis Cardinals infielder Richie Palacios is not in the lineup for Friday's series opener against left-hander Cristopher Sanchez and the Philadelphia Phillies.
Palacios went 3-for-4 with a double, a walk, and 2 RBI in Wednesday's series finale against the Pittsburgh Pirates, but the lefty hitter is heading to the bench against a southpaw for Friday's opener. Tommy Edman is moving out to center field while Taylor Motter starts on second base and bats eighth.
numberFire’s models project Edman ($2,900) for 10.0 and Motter ($2,200) for 5.1 FanDuel points on Friday. Per our MLB Heat Map, the Cardinals' implied total is 4.47 and the game total is 9.5. Sanchez has a solid 3.36 ERA and 3.76 xERA this season, with a 38.8% hard-hit rate, 22.7% strikeout rate, and 4.7% walk rate.
