The San Diego Padres did not include Ben Gamel in their lineup for Sunday's game against the Milwaukee Brewers.
Gamel will take a seat Sunday while Matt Batten joins the lineup in his stead. Batten will play second base and hit ninth.
Gamel has a .467 OPS in his first 15 plate appearances this season.
