Los Angeles Angels outfielder Mickey Moniak (back) is not in the lineup for Wednesday afternoon's series finale against left-hander Cristopher Sanchez and the Philadelphia Phillies.
Moniak exited Tuesday's game early with back soreness, but he's also a lefty hitter, so it's not clear if Wednesday's absence is due to his back or the pitching matchup. Luis Rengifo is moving to center field and hitting second while Andrew Velazquez starts at shortstop and bats ninth. Shohei Ohtani is batting third and Brandon Drury is on cleanup duty for the Angels.
numberFire’s models project Rengifo ($2,700) for 11.6 and Velazquez ($2,100) for 7.0 FanDuel points on Wednesday. Per our MLB Heat Map, the Angels' implied total is 4.00 and the game total is 9.0. Sanchez has a strong 3.33 ERA and 3.66 xERA this season, with a 39.5% hard-hit rate, 22.9% strikeout rate, and 4.3% walk rate.
