Kansas City Royals infielder Bobby Witt Jr. is not in the lineup Monday in the team's game against the Chicago White Sox.
Witt is being replaced at shortstop by Maikel Garcia versus White Sox starter Jesse Scholtens.
In 591 plate appearances this season, Witt has a .275 batting average with an .815 OPS, 28 home runs, 78 runs, 84 RBI and 39 stolen bases.
