The Houston Astros did not list Michael Brantley in their starting lineup for Monday's game against the Texas Rangers.
Brantley will take a seat Monday while the Astros bring Jose Altuve back into the lineup at second base. Altuve will bat leadoff while Mauricio Dubon joins the outfield and Chas McCormick takes over for Brantley in left field.
Brantley's first 16 plate appearances this season have turned in 1 home run, 3 runs, 4 RBI, a .250 average and a .750 OPS.
