Kansas City Royals infielder Matt Beaty is not in the starting lineup for Friday's game against the Toronto Blue Jays.
Beaty will move to the bench on Friday with Salvador Perez starting at first base. Perez will bat third versus left-hander Yusei Kikuchi and Toronto.
